Spalexma - Goodbye Godmother

I still remember how you'd say, "Don't worry, child,
God's watching you." I didn't know those little words would be the ones that pulled me through.
Now your chair is sitting empty,
But your Bible's by the bed,
And I swear sometimes I hear you saying everything you said.
Goodbye, Godmother, goodbye.
I hope Heaven heard me cry.
You were more than just a name.
