almost real. - Starlight

I wear the sequins, I wear the shine,
Trying to make that old magic mine.
But every mirror shows the truth,
The fading of my wasted youth.
The horns are playing sad and low,
A sound that only grief can know.
I lift my hands, I close my eyes,
And dance beneath these painted lies.
